The 7th Term Public Collective Agreement negotiations, in which the financial and social rights of approximately 7 million civil servants and retired civil servants for the 2024-2025 period will be determined, will begin as of August 1.
Before the negotiations that will last for a month between the public employer and civil servant unions, the Chairman of "Memur-Sen" Ali Yalçın shared his 129-item proposals with the public.
According to the proposal, a total of 110 percent salary increase was demanded for public employees in two years.
There are only a few days left for the negotiations of the 7th Term Public Collective Agreement, where the financial and social rights of public employees will be decided. Before the negotiations, Memur-Sen presented their 129-item proposal to the public.
It was stated that 84 of the submitted proposals were new, 26 were to be protected, and 19 were items that were decided in the previous collective agreement but were not implemented.

Stating that they will present their proposals for public employees to the public employer during the day, Yalçın underlined that they have a period of one week for the public employer.
"The public employer should classify and separate our offers and come to the table with a proposal as of August 1st. From January to this time; In the last 1 month period, there has been an increase of 46 percent in the dollar exchange rate and close to 47 percent under grams; We are going to collective bargaining at a time when there is an increase of more than 40 percent in fuel and this economic picture is reflected in taxes, commodities and compulsory expenses. At this point, the public employer side, taking into account the real data of the economy, instead of reasons such as fiscal discipline policies, balancing and saving measures in the economy; It should come to the table with offers that will increase purchasing power and increase real income," Yalçın said.
