Funeral prayer performed with a crowd at Fatih Mosque. In addition to names such as President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Felicity (Saadet) Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu, President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr Ali Erbaş, hundreds of thousands of citizens attended.
AN EXTRAORDINARY CROWD BIDS FAREWELL
Fevzipaşa Street, where Fatih Mosque is located, was closed to traffic at the funeral, while all the side streets connected to the mosque were closed with barriers by police teams. While the citizens were taken to the area in a controlled manner according to the occupancy of the mosque and its surroundings, some non-governmental organizations distributed water and refreshments to the citizens who came to the funeral. Citizens who wanted to reach the mosque with prayer rugs in their hands filled all the streets and streets connecting Fevzipaşa Street from Edirnekapı to Saraçhane. Due to the funeral ceremony, the Qur’an and sala were recited in Fatih Mosque.
Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu, Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Ersan Bilgin and Saadet Party Istanbul Provincial President Ömer Faruk Yazıcı was among the names who bid farewell to His Excellency Mahmud Efendi, who had great efforts on the Milli Görüş movement.
BURIED NEXT TO ALI HAYDAR EFFENDI
After the funeral prayer, the funeral of Mahmud Effendi was taken to Edirnekapı Sakızağacı Martyrdom with the accompaniment of saying Allahuekbers.
During the transfer of the body from Fatih Mosque to Sakızağacı Martyrdom, the police helicopter took a security measure from the air. Citizens were subjected to security checks at the entrance to the cemetery. Ustaosmanoğlu was buried in Edirnekapı Sakızağacı Martyrdom next to his deceased Hodja Ali Haydar Effendi. After the burial, the Qur’an was cited at Ustaosmanoğlu's grave.
His Holiness Mahmud Ustaosmanoğlu, who died at the age of 93 in the hospital where he was treated for kidney disease in Istanbul, bidden farewell. Ustaosmanoğlu's funeral was held in front of his house in Beykoz Yavuz Selim Neighborhood, after receiving halal approval. He was taken to Fatih Mosque in a convoy. Mahmud Effendi's funeral prayer, along with his relatives, is attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu, some cabinet member ministers, President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş, Grand Union Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici, Future (Gelecek) Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu, former Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly İsmail Kahraman, Republican People’s Party (CHP) Istanbul Deputy İlhan Kesici, Saadet Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Ömer Faruk Yazıcı and hundreds of thousands of citizens.
HASSAN EFFENDİ HAS BEEN SUCCESSOR OF HIS HOLINESS MAHMUD EFFENDİ
After the funeral prayer led by Ahmet Ustaosmanoğlu Hodja, the son of Mahmud Ustaosmanoğlu Effendi, Mahmut Eren Hodja made a speech. Making a speech afterwards, Ahmet Ustaosmanoğlu said, ‘Your Excellency, Who will he leave after him?’ stated that the question was asked to them the most. Expressing that they answered this question as much as possible, Ustaosmanoğlu said, “But there may be some of you who do not hear. He told us to explain this duty-testament to our brothers. Using the phrase 'after me', he said, 'After my last breath, I am leaving our Hasan (Kılıç) Hodja Effendi as the representative and head of the congregation.' He repeatedly advised me to protect and watch over him. I told this truth. May Almighty Allah be pleased with all of you and make it possible to act in accordance with his will.”
MAHMUD EFFENDI WAS A CLOSE FRIEND OF OUR ERBAKAN HODJA
His Excellency Mahmud Effendi, who had great efforts on the Milli Görüş movement, was also one of Erbakan Hodja’s close friends. It was known that Mahmud Effendi, who gave special importance to Erbakan Hodja among politicians, supported Erbakan Hodja in the political arena. Mahmud Ustaosmanoğlu Effendi, in his condolence message published after the death of our Erbakan Hodja, said, “My brother, the deceased and gracious al-muhtacila rahmet-i Rabbihi'l-Gafur Necmeddin Erbakan, whom I do not doubt that he served to the Islamic world with all his efforts until his last moments..."

As the Milli Gazete, we wish once again the mercy of Almighty Allah to the Sultan of the heart, Mahmut Ustaosmanoğlu Effendi, and patience to his family and students.
MILLI GORUS YOUTH WISHED MERCY TO HIS HOLINESS MAHMUD EFFENDI
Banners were hung around the Fatih Mosque on the occasion of meeting of His Holiness Mahmud Ustaosmanoğlu Effendi who is one of the people whom the youth of Milli Gorus is highly respected, with the Most Merciful. The hadith-i sharif "The death of a scholar is like the death of the world" appeared on the banners prepared by the Anatolian Youth Association (AGD) Istanbul Branch Organization.
