Due to the worldwide chip crisis, it has become difficult to produce passports.

While returning to old passports in many countries, it has become quite difficult to obtain a passport in Turkey.

Passports issued in more than 1 month are especially challenging for citizens abroad.

Regarding passports, President Erdoğan said, “We have established the infrastructure to produce passports in our country, whose global supply opportunities have become difficult due to the chip crisis. New passports will be issued as of August.”
