Indian government-backed militant Hindu groups (Hindutva) want to completely expel Muslims from a village in the northern state of Uttarakhand. Many Muslims living in the region had to leave the village of Purola in the Uttarkashi region of the state as a result of the pressures of the racist Hindus. Racist militant Hindus hung papers on the walls of residences and businesses asking them to leave the village in order to drive the Muslims out of the region.
MUSLIMS ARE BEING THREATENED
Following the abduction of a 14-year-old Hindu girl by two men on May 26, the racist radical Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and its youth wing, Bajrang Dal, became one of the leading groups leading the activities that threaten Muslims in the region. The Indian government asked Muslim shopkeepers to close their shutters on the grounds that Hindu groups would protest the kidnapping on May 27. Groups of hundreds of radical Hindus held another march on May 29, demanding the expulsion of Muslims from the region. According to local residents, Hindus chanted slogans provocatively at the marches. Some Hindu gangs also removed Islamic signs while attacking Muslim shops.
THE RACIST ADMINISTRATION DOESN'T HEAR MUSLIMS
It is reported that the local administration ignored the requests for help in the face of attacks on the homes of Muslims and the shops of tradesmen. It is known that between 400 and 500 Muslims live in the village of Purola, which militant Hindu groups want to expel from the region.
It is stated that Hindus and Muslims lived in harmony before the current Indian administration took the seat of power. However, since the arrival of the Modi government, it is noted that the oppression of the Muslim minority has been increasing.
INDIA BRANCH OF ZIONISM: HINDUTVA
It is known that the VHP and Bajrang Dal radical Hindus, who prioritized attacks against Muslims in the village of Purola, are affiliated with the National Voluntary Organization (RSS), which puts Hindutva ideology into practice. The RSS is described as the mentor of the Bharatiya Janata Party, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which aims to create an ethnic Hindu state from a constitutionally secular India.
