The season of mercy, blessings and spiritual renewal in the Islamic world, which includes Rajab, Sha'ban and Ramadan, will begin on Wednesday, February 2, for three months.

The three months, which offer Muslims the opportunity to question, renew and enrich their daily lives with the intensity of religious feeling and worship, will be revived this year in the shadow of Covid-19 that surrounds the world.

During the three months when special nights such as Raghaib, Miraj and Bara'at oil lamps and the Night of Power are observed, it is recommended to perform more prayers such as fasting, reading the Quran and giving alms.

According to the information available on the website of the Department of Time Calculation of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, "vakithesaplama.diyanet.gov.tr", Lailat al-Raghaib will be realized on February 3, the first Thursday evening of the month of Recep, connected to Friday.

After Lailat al-Miraj, which is considered the night when our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) ascended into the presence of Allah, on February 27 and Lailat al-Bara'at which is considered the herald of Ramadan, on March 17, the sultan of eleven months, the month of peace and blessings will start in April 2.

The Night of Power, which is reported to be "better than a thousand months" in the Qur'an, will be realized on April 27, the 27th night of Ramadan, and Muslims will welcome Eid al-Fitr on May 2.

“REMEMBING ALLAH AND READING THE QURAN IN THESE MONTHS IS VERY IMPORTANT”

Bahattin Akbaş, Specialist of the High Council of Religious Affairs, said in a statement that when the three months came, the souls of Muslims took on a spiritual atmosphere.

Stating that Muslims should take more accountability in three months, Akbaş said, "Our aim is to serve Allah, which is the purpose of our existence, to realize goodness and benevolence. We need to think about how much we can fulfill our responsibility towards Allah, people, our relatives, our country and our nation."
