The International Court of Justice of the Hague announced its preliminary decision in the case filed by the Republic of South Africa.

According to the verdict, there is a reasonable amount of evidence showing that genocide was committed in Gaza.

In line with the decision taken, the Israeli regime has to take steps to prevent genocide and submit a report explaining what it has done on the issue within a month.

GENOCIDE EVIDENCE ACCEPTED

The International Court of Justice announced at the hearing where the Israeli regime was tried that it was extremely aware of the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza and was deeply concerned about the loss of lives.

The International Court of Justice ruled that the allegations made against Israel in the genocide case were proven at a "reasonable level" and stated that the Gazans who were subjected to Israeli attacks met the definition of "protected group" in Article 2 of the Genocide Convention.

“Israel must stop its attacks immediately”

The International Court of Justice (in the genocide case) also ruled that the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza constituted an "immediate danger" that required an injunction.

Noting that the occupying Israeli regime must immediately stop its military operations in and against Gaza, the Court of Justice announced that Israel must take all measures to prevent the commission of acts within the scope of the Genocide Convention.

South Africa did what the leaders of Islamic countries could not do

The South African administration, which approached the issue with humanitarian sensitivities, showed the courage that no other Muslim country leader could show.

South Africa's noble stance during the genocide, in which Islamic countries could not exert any influence, was engraved in history in golden letters.

The precautionary decision was taken with 15 acceptances and 2 rejections.

The International Court of Justice, which is the highest court of the United Nations, consists of 15 judges.

In addition to 15 judges, 1 judge each representing South Africa and Israel was present at yesterday's hearing, where Zionist Israel was tried upon the request of South Africa.

The court, which consisted of 17 judges in total, made an interim injunction decision with 15 acceptances and 2 rejections.

The fact that 15 judges voted in favor of the decision taken by an overwhelming majority ensured that Zionist Israel's crime of genocide received more response in the context of international law.

By decision; genocide has been proven beyond denial

On December 29, 2023, South Africa took an important step towards stopping the violations by filing a lawsuit against Israel on the grounds that it violated the United Nations (UN) Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide dated 1948.

The decisions of the case heard at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) proved Israel's genocide in Gaza beyond denial.
