When the Great March of Return and Breaking the Siege demonstrations were launched on March 30, the Palestinian people, along with the national and Islamic parties, were in a race against time to thwart the so-called “Deal of the Century” and foil plans of the US President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt and the President Donald Trump’s senior adviser Jared Kushner to implement the deal.

Four months after the start of the Great March of Return, the US decided to scrap its plan “Gaza first” and maybe retreated from the so-called “Deal of the Century”, as it has realised that the Palestinian resistance which rules Gaza will not allow the liquidation of the Palestinian cause, even huge pressure practiced against it.

The Palestinian national and Islamic parties will not allow the liquidation of the Palestinian cause in return for financial and humantarian aid. The Palestinian people will not accept an independent state to be founded in Gaza nor will they accept a state without the coastal enclave, as they will not waive their rights, the foremost among them their right to return to homeland. The era of abolishing the Palestinians’ rights in return for some aid has ended while the national awareness has increased among the Palestinian people who will foil all schemes and plans targeting their cause, even if some of the neighboring countries sided with the Israeli Occupation.

Kushner and Greenblatt’s proposals to improve the humantarian situation in Gaza came to pave the way for the implementation of the so-called “Deal of the Century” and to end the Palestinian cause, with the help of the neighboring countries, not, as what most people mistakenly think, to ease the siege imposed by the Israeli Occupation on the coastal enclave. If the U.S. plans were meant to improve the humantarian situation in Gaza, it would have asked the Israeli Occupation to lift its 12-year unjust siege on Gaza and appealed to the donor countries to fund financial projects in the coastal enclave. In other words, the U.S. is making every effort to serve the Israeli Occupation’s interest, which lies in taking over Jerusalem and expanding the settlement activity in the West Bank.
