Turkey's opposition CHP Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer brought privatization to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and asked 4 questions to the Vice President Fuat Oktay to answer.
Bor Sugar Factory was sold to Doğuş Çay in the privatization tender held in 2018. However, Doğuş Çay did not take over the factory and handed it over to DSL Construction Industry and Trade Company, which was established together with the Dişli family. This transfer process, contrary to the tender specifications, caused great public reaction, and had gone down in history as bulky sales. While this scandal remains alive in memories, this time a new scandal erupted over the 625 thousand square meters of land that is not subject to sale by the Bor Sugar Factory. Hülle took over the factory by making the Dişli family, the union building on the state of the sugar factory by demolishing the building turned out to have built villas.
BIG REACTION IN THE PUBLIC
The scandal incident aroused a great impact in the public with the newspaper's headline 'Sugar factory became a villa with pool'.
CHP Niğde Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer prepared a question proposal about the claim that the company that bought the Bor Sugar Factory uses the land and buildings that are not included in the scope of privatization and asked for it to be answered by Vice President Fuat Oktay.
IS THE COMPANY USING BUILDINGS?
Questions asked by CHP Niğde Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer to be answered by Vice President Fuat Oktay:
1- Does the company use land and buildings excluded from privatization?
2- Has the company leased land and buildings excluded from privatization in the following periods?
3- If there is a rental transaction, what is the time and cost information?
4- If there is a leasing transaction, what is the reason for hiding from the public?
