Israeli institutions reported that approximately 200 properties belonging to Palestinians in the village of Douma, southeast of Nablus, will be demolished on the pretext that they were built "without a permit".
Residents of the region, who are faced with the threat of their homes being demolished and being left exposed due to the warnings they received, state that this place, where they previously found "safety, has now become a concern for them".
In their statement, Palestinians expressed their concern and uneasiness about the warnings.
Ayed Arara, a 31-year-old Palestinian living in the northeastern part of the village, "I've been living here with my family since 2013. However, today we are concerned about the warning that predicts that the structures in the region, including houses and sheepfolds, will be demolished," he said.
Stating that the Zionist Israeli forces are constantly following them, Arara stated that the soldiers who raided the village threatened to destroy everything.
Arara explained that Israel prevents expansion or construction activities and threatens to demolish any new structure.
"There is no life in these vast mountains, Israel imposes restrictions," Arara added.
Arara emphasized that he will remain in the village with his family despite the troubles they face as residents of Duma.
