The Greek Cypriot Administration is preparing to install an electric iron fence to the buffer zone, where it previously installed barbed wire.
The electric iron fences to be constructed will be placed at various points in the rural areas of the villages of Akaki, Peristerona, Astromerit, Mammari, Denya and Kokkinotrimithia in Nicosia and Güzelyurt. It will consist of 20 pieces in total.
When it pulled the barbed wire, it had received from the European Union three times the value it had cost. Now, in order to get some more money from the European Union, it has brought forward the refugee and asylum problem, prepared a "project to prevent illegal refugees from the occupied regions" and presented it to the EU. The European Union approved this project and agreed to finance it, due to the claim that the project is a precautionary measure against refugees who want to cross from the north, that is the TRNC, to the south, that is, to the Greek Cypriot Administration.
In this way, the Greek Cypriot Administration will not only receive three times the real amount from the European Union, but also contribute to its stagnated economy and open a job door for the unemployed.
Hellenic cunning Greece and the Greek Cypriot Administration have a very bad record in this regard. In the past years, they had defrauded the European Union with some similar fictitious projects, and their names were "False States".
When I got this information, the tomb of Nasreddin Hodja came to my mind.
Nasreddin Hodja's tomb is located in an open area with no walls or fences around it. You can enter this area from anywhere, but there is a huge iron door at the end of the road to the area, and a big lock hangs on this iron door.
An arrangement that befits our Hodja Nasreddin, who is a great humorist. One involuntarily smiles, seeing the huge lock on the door, which is not surrounded by walls, but represents the entrance...
What the Greek Cypriot Administration wants to do is exactly reminiscent of the area where the Nasreddin Hodja tomb is located, because electric iron bars will be installed on the right and left of the road where the road crosses the border between the TRNC and the Greek Cypriot Administration.
From the point where the railings end, the barbed wire, which was paid for by the European Union, will begin.
So the barbed wire thing is exactly same with our Nasreddin Hodja humor. Of course, if you can get it...
