Saadet Party Deputy and Head of Youth Branch Abdulkadir Karaduman brought the tax reduction on pork imports to the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

Speaking at the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Karaduman harshly criticized the government's steps in importing pork.

“WE IMPORT ANIMALS FROM OUTSIDE”

Karaduman said that the government implemented the wrong agriculture and livestock policy.

"Unfortunately, with the steps taken in the field of animal husbandry in our country, our dependence on foreign countries continues to increase day by day. While our own producer, our breeder cuts the animals in his hands due to feed costs and basic input costs, we import both meat and animals from outside while they leave their village," Karaduman said

“YOU ARE TRYING TO FEED PORK MEAT TO THIS NATION WITHOUT SHAME AND BEING BORED”

Karaduman reacted to the decision to reduce the tax on pork imports and said following words:

"As if it is not enough for us to import meat and animals from Hungary, Bulgaria, Uruguay and Brazil and end animal husbandry, you are also trying to feed pork to this nation without shame or being bored. You put the pork in the category of butchery animals. As this embarrassment is not enough, you are now reducing the Customs Duty on pork imports. Who and what are you trying to serve by introducing pork into our country? Shame on you!"
