The Saadet Party Parliamentary Group submitted a parliamentary research proposal regarding the Credit Guarantee Fund (KGF), which has been on the public agenda frequently in recent years.

DO MAFIA, GANG AND PROFENDANTS BENEFIT FROM THE CREDIT GUARANTEE FUND?
Saadet Party Group submitted a parliamentary inquiry proposal to the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
In its proposal, the group stated that the allegations that the Credit Guarantee Fund, which was established by the state to certain sectors and companies to prevent unemployment and increase employment and production, was distributed to gangs, mafia and pro-government individuals should be clarified.
Text of the parliamentary research proposal submitted by Saadet Party Group Deputy Chairman Bülent Kaya
"One of these supports is that the main feature of the Credit Guarantee Fund is that it is a joint stock company that provides support as a guarantor to businesses that cannot use loans due to lack of collateral. This allows businesses to use bank loans for financing. However, in the news that has appeared to the public in recent years, it is claimed that the owners of the companies to which KGF provides loan support as guarantors are gangs, mafia, pro-government companies and individuals. Similarly, in previous years, media purchases, privatizations, etc. by public banks. News about irregular loans being extended in these areas and these loans not being repaid have appeared in the public. These allegations are not addressed, and similar allegations continue to appear increasingly in public opinion day by day," the text said.
A PARLIAMENTARY INVESTIGATION IS NEEDED TO INVESTIGATE CORRUPTION
While it was stated that the ease with which some gang leaders and pro-government companies benefited from KGF, which came to the public agenda, deeply shook the conscience of the society, the following statements were included in the continuation of the motion:
"It has become a hot topic in the country that the leader of a criminal organization received 700 million TL of financing through a public bank with the guarantee of KGF. While it should be an institution that provides financial support to SMEs and non-SME businesses as guarantors under certain conditions, solving the problem of insufficient collateral, it is necessary to clarify the motives and by whom this financing is transferred to criminal organizations and the source of cronyism in the state administration. While it is obvious that these incidents that have been reflected in the public are not the first time, the crude use of state resources and by partisans is a clear sign of corruption. It is important to open a parliamentary investigation in order to examine these worrying incidents, reveal the perpetrators and ensure efficiency in the allocation of public financial resources."
