At the weekly regular press conference, Saadet Party leader Temel Karamollaoğlu reacted strongly to the fines imposed on two Saadet Party members who reacted to Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, who used unfounded statements against Saadet Party before the March 31, 2019 local elections.
"We came to the point of being a weak nation when we said that we will establish a strong state with the Presidential System. What do I mean? A system that does not save reputation, does not compromise on luxury, does not hesitate to build summer-winter palaces, does not leave the latest model vehicles and flashy office rooms was built," Karamollaoglu said.
"WE ARE IN A SYSTEMIC CRISIS"
Emphasizing that Turkey is grappling with problems that are getting deeper day by day in a systemic crisis, Karamollaoğlu said:
"We will establish a strong state with the Presidential System, we have come to the point of being a weak nation, what do I mean? A system that does not save on reputation, does not compromise on luxury, does not hesitate to build a summer palace and does not leave the latest model vehicles and flashy office rooms was built. What was the result? A power overlooking and a nation that pays the bill below emerged! In addition, let's not forget that the governor and the district governor are both civil servants. These officers are there to serve the nation. I want to say with your forgiveness, but a mentality that insults the citizen by saying "lower his hind legs" has appeared. It cannot be expected from this mentality to serve the nation. You are the servant of the nation, not the chiefs. Foreigners call those who serve the people an officer! Those of us want to cook boza on the neck of the people. Those with this mentality cannot be civil servants, but only as representatives of a cruel administration," he said.
"WE EXPERIENCE SKIDDING IN FOREIGN POLICY"
Karamollaoğlu noted that in addition to the problems in economy, justice and administration, there was also a drift in foreign policy.
"We are worried about the developments in foreign policy as well as the agenda we live in our country. After Biden, the US put the Great Middle East Project (BOP) on its agenda again. The USA is coming to the Middle East. See; The USA surrounds us from everywhere. It besieges over Greece, it besieges it over Bulgaria. It is trying to besiege us over Romania, over Cyprus. I am saying frankly, today Turkey is besieged. Turkey is the target. The BOP is in trouble, everyone should know this, especially our Foreign Affairs should be aware of it. It will be impossible to defend Turkey without getting out of this swing and re-arranging its foreign policy, even without contacting the countries with which it is at odds today," he added.
