Inter-university letter competition themed "Mehmet Akif from the Pen of Youth", organized by the Young Memur-Sen and with the contributions of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities and Ankara Social Sciences University, on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the National Anthem, "Letter from Asım to Akif" themed inter-high school letter competition, "If the National Anthem Were a Picture How would it be drawn" primary and secondary school painting competition and Jerusalem Academy end-of-term awards found their owners.

Making the opening speech of the award ceremony held at the Memur-Sen Headquarters, Young Memur-Sen labour union Chairman Mustafa Başkara underlined that they are working to keep the spirit of independence alive in the 100th anniversary of the National Anthem, 'Today, we organize here at the primary and secondary school level; Painting competition on the theme of 'How would the National Anthem be drawn if it were a picture?', which we organized at the high school level; Letter competition titled 'Letter from Asım to Akif' and we organized at the university level; We are together at the award ceremony of the essay competitions themed "Mehmet Akif from the Pen of Youth". By means of these competitions, we are trying to fulfill our commitment to keep the spirit of independence alive in the younger generations," he said.
50 OF OUR BROTHERS WILL GO TO JERUSALEM
Noting that there were more than 11 thousand participants within the scope of the competition, Başkara said, "I congratulate my brothers and sisters who won the prize among tens of works. We have organized the 'Jerusalem Academy' program, supported by the two most important institutions of Turkey, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities. As a result of the exam we held throughout Turkey within the framework of the program, 50 of our brothers who were entitled to go to Jerusalem are among us today," he said.
“JERUSALEM ISSUE IS OUR NATION'S ISSUE”
Speaking at the award ceremony, President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities Abdullah Eren, noting that whenever the issue of Jerusalem comes to the agenda, Turkey makes the loudest voice, "We were very happy when Young Memur-Sen came to us with the offer of sending young people to Jerusalem as a result of their program. The issue of Jerusalem has been the issue of our nation, which has been its flag bearer for centuries," he said.
“Youth should continue their studies”
Expressing that there was a very intense participation in the competition, especially in the trial area, Social Sciences University Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Kazim Arıcan, "Our juries had a very difficult time choosing in the face of the works given. The works were really full. Young people participating in the competition with their writings want to continue their writing processes and studies," he said.
Halis Yunus Ersöz, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, reminded that we came together for Jerusalem, one of the two fundamental positions of our world of values, "Jerusalem is one of the cities most valued by Muslims in our hearts. It has been occupied for years. However, this does not mean that the standard of Jerusalem has fallen. Jerusalem has been our bleeding wound since the first day of the occupation of Zionist Israel. This program is proof that captivity and occupation are not accepted," he said.
