TWO MILLION CHILDREN DOES NOT GO TO SCHOOL!

CHP Niğde deputy Omer Fethi Gurer, who voiced a visit to Niğde on the number of child workers under 18 under the age of 18, said that the deterioration of family economics caused children to be employed. According to official figures, it is stated that the number of child workers is over one hundred thousand, according to actual figures, the number of children working on streets is over 2 million. Despite the ban, the number of children in work has increased every year, unfortunately the number of child laborers has also increased in research. For economic reasons, children who should be at school like their peers are forced to work under difficult circumstances, some of them are victims of job killings!

According to the survey, nearly 90 per cent of child workers are employed off the record, while 46 per cent of child workers are employed as unpaid family workers. Particularly in recent years, the number of child laborers in the areas where the Syrians reside, while in the eastern and southeastern provinces, the number of seasonal child labor is on the rise. Especially seasonal workers who work in cotton fields, nuts and apricot gardens can start only after a couple of months with their friends even if they continue their education. Children living in metropolitan areas can not even begin to study because they are constantly in business now! It is a matter of curiosity that the families who work with their children have to be at school like their peers, and the National Education Ministry (MEB) is going to find a solution to the problem of child labor.
