The reactions towards the appointment of trustees to the Science and Art Foundation (BİSAV) are growing. A trustee of 3 people was appointed to BİSAV, the founder of İstanbul Şehir University, which was seized last month for financial problems. It is anticipated that trustees may be appointed to other foundations and associations after the trustee intervention on BİSAV, whose activities were stopped for 1 year.
COMMON RESPONSE FROM ASSOCIATIONS
In the statement made by the General Directorate of Foundations, which stressed the Science and Art Foundation's legal personality, and its own assets and the purposes of establishment, regarding the decision of the trustee, it also attracted attention. On the other hand, the Istanbul Platform, which consists of associations and foundations such as the Lawyers' Association, IHH, ÖNDER and the Civilization Foundation, also declared the appointment of a trustee to BISAV by keeping a mind about it.
Another reaction regarding the appointment of trustees to BİSAV came from Saadet Party General Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu.
Temel Karamollaoğlu, by publishing a message on the appointment of a trustee to BİSAV, through the social media, "it is clear that the decision to appoint a trustee to the Science and Art Foundation, which is one of the important science and thought institutions of our country, has been taken for a political purpose. This wrong decision should be abandoned as soon as possible. This decision is a blow to law, democracy and understanding of the foundation. It is no use for anyone to calculate political revenge over the foundations that have been the symbol of our civilization for centuries," he shared.
BİSAV Founding President Mustafa Özel, who made special statements to our newspaper on the subject, said, "We have been expressing that Islamic civilization has been rising on a triple pillar for forty years; Scholar-Merchants-orders. In other words, scientists flourish and develop as much as they can guide the state and businessmen. The original founders of the Ottoman Empire were the intellectuals and hearts of the men, like Shaikh Edebali, Dursun Fakü, who directed the sword veterans. Whether it is political parties or businessmen communities such as MUSIAD, the Science and Art Foundation has been a hearty that generously shares the information in the hurricane."
