In the Strengthened Parliamentary System negotiations, where the opposition parties came together, the reporting stage has been reached. During the meetings, Republican People’s Party (CHP), Good (İYİ) Party, Felicity (Saadet) Party, Democrat Party (DP), Future (Gelecek) Party and Democracy and Progress (Deva) Party vice chairmen reached an agreement on many issues after their long meetings. In the meetings, where many issues, especially democratic rights, were discussed, the transition to the Strengthened Parliamentary System, which is a new system proposal, was emphasized. In the last meeting, the topics of Political Ethics Law, Ethical Regulations, Universities and Central Bank (MB) were discussed. Political parties participating in the meeting on the title of university reached a consensus on the abolition of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). The position and independence of the Central Bank, which is at the center of the discussions, were also discussed comprehensively, and a consensus was reached on the topics that should be done regarding the protection of the independence of the Central Bank and intervention to inflation.
CALENDAR OF TRANSITION TO THE NEW SYSTEM TO BE DETERMINED SOON
The interviews are completed and the reporting stage is reached. These reports will be prepared and presented to the opposition party leaders by the end of the year. While the public is wondering how the transition to the Strengthened Parliamentary System will be, it is planned that the implementation calendar in question will become concrete after the meetings of the party leaders.
