Collective Bargaining Agreement (TİS) process for metal workers starts as of 1 September.

The Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Turkish Metal Industrialists' Union (MESS) will sit at the table for 127 thousand metal workers who are members of the Türk-Metal Union affiliated to the Türk-İş Confederation.
 
In the process that will start from September 1, there will be a contract that will cover giant factories of Turkey such as Renault, Tofaş, Ford, Arçelik, Bosch, Mercedes Benz Türk, Man Turkey, Otokar and Siemens, which are members of MESS.
 
Pevrul Kavlak, Chairman of the Turkish-Metal Union, shared his demands for metal workers with the public at a press conference.
 

INFLATION FOR THE SECOND YEAR + 4 PERCENT

 
Kavlak listed his demands by saying, "Average 29.57 percent for the first six months, inflation for the second six months, inflation for the third six months + 1 TL in addition to hourly wages, inflation for the fourth six months, 35 percent for social benefits. Inflation + 4 percent increase demand for the second year we do. We demand a 90 cent increase for salaries with an hourly wage of less than 20.50 TL, and a 27 percent increase for all wages. We have prepared this draft in line with the demands of our members by conducting a survey at the workplaces."
 

SOME SOCIAL RIGHTS REQUESTED ARE:

 
Inclusion of spouse and children in the scope of complementary insurance, which is a right that was entered into the contract for the first time in 2017 and is an acquired right.
 
Increasing the wages paid for the working hours of the employees on religious holidays to 200 percent.
 
Increasing the late hour wage to 15 percent.
 
Granting excused leave for the first time, provided that the excuse is proven for 3 days per year.
 
After the newly hired worker becomes a member of Türk Metal, an increase of 6 percent to 14 percent of the minimum wage in other workplaces, depending on their groups, in the workplaces where MIDS is applied.
