Fenerbahce boss Dick Advocaat has been unveiled as the Dutch national team’s manager for a third time.
The Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) made the announcement in the city of Zeist on Tuesday.
Former Dutch star Ruud Gullit was named as assistant coach.
The Netherlands fired previous head coach Danny Blind after a World Cup qualification group stage loss to Bulgaria on March 26.
On March 17, after a Turkish Super Lig loss loss to Konyaspor, the Fenerbahce manager announced he would leave the Istanbul club at the end of the season.
The 69-year-old managed many teams throughout his career, including the Dutch, Belgian, Russian and Serbian national sides, as well as PSV Eindhoven, Glasgow Rangers and Sunderland.
