Head of the Political Bureau of HAMAS in Turkiye, Ismail Haniyya, made special statements to Anadolu Agency and said that he spoke to an international press organization for the first time since October 7.
Haniyya made important statements, from the martyrdom of his sons and grandchildren to the current situation and future in Gaza.
“Gaza will be governed by Palestinians”
Haniyya said that some alternatives have been put forward regarding the administration of Gaza, but it is not possible for them to be successful.
"Gaza is administered by Palestinians. HAMAS does not insist on having a sole say in the administration of Gaza, but we are part of the Palestinian people and a national unity government can be established on the basis of partnership. We will not allow the occupiers or anyone else to regulate the Palestinian situation, whether in Gaza, the West Bank or both," Haniyya said.
"The enemy, who is in trouble, is committing these massacres to make us take a STEP back."
Referring to the attack in which his sons and grandchildren were martyred, Haniyya said that this reflected three points:
"The most important of these is that the enemy could not achieve its military goals for 7 months and could not achieve any success other than killing civilians, thousands of children, women and the elderly. Therefore, the massacre that took place during the holiday in which my 3 sons and 5 grandchildren were murdered is also within this scope and emphasizes the failure of the enemy.
The second dimension is that they think that such a massacre, which extends to my home, my children and my grandchildren, will put pressure on the leader and management of the movement to make concessions in the ongoing negotiations, which is misleading.
Thirdly, my sons are part of the Palestinian people and their situation is the same as that of the Palestinian people. From the first moment, I said that the blood of my sons was not more valuable than the children of the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and everywhere."
