The Hamas Political Bureau reiterated its and the Palestinian people's firm stance by completely rejecting this deal which indicates the liquidation of the Palestinian cause, rights and principles, the foremost among them is the Palestinians’ right to liberate their homeland and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, as well as the Palestine’s refugees return to their towns and villages, from which they were forced out in 1948.

The Hamas Politburo reaffirmed the Palestinian people’s right to continue all legitimate types of resistance until the Occupation is defeated and the Palestinians achieve their national goals.

In the light of this, the Politburo stressed its complete rejection of the decision to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and praised the popular Intifada ‘uprising, which broke out on 14 May in protest of the U.S. decision regarding the holy city and to express the Palestinian people’s willingness to make sacrifices for the sake of Jerusalem and its Arab and Islamic identity. The Bureau called on all the Palestinian factions to unite in the face of this dangerous conspiracy.

The Bureau also urged the Palestinian Authority to lift its punitive measures imposed on the Gaza Strip to reinforce its residents’ steadfastness in the face of this scheme.

The Politburo called on the Arab League, all countries and factions to support the Palestinian people in their struggle against the "Deal of the Century", which targets not only the Palestinian people but also the entire Arab and Islamic nations, as well as threatening the stability and security in the region and the world.

Two: Jerusalem and Khan al-Ahmar

The Politburo saluted the Palestinian people inside and outside the Palestinian territories, especially the Khan al-Ahmar’s residents who resisted the criminal settlement attack through which the Zionist Occupation seeks to Judaize Jerusalem and destroy the Palestinians’ national hope for ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state.

Hamas has expressed its opposition and rejection of all Zionist attempts to desecrate the sanctity of Al-Aqsa mosque, the latest among them was storming Al-Aqsa by the so-called Zionist Minister of Agriculture coinciding with desecration of the holy sites by Zionist settlers.

The Politburo also praised the Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank who are defending defended Al-Aqsa Mosque against the Zionist break-ins.

The Bureau called on the Arab and Islamic nations to support the Palestinians in Jerusalem and reinforce their steadfastness in the face of the Zionist policies.

Three: Great March of Return and Breaking the Siege

The Politburo hailed the Palestinian people inside the Palestinian territories and in diaspora for their struggle for their rights, which was embodied by the sense of unity shown by the Palestinian people and factions during the Great March of Return and Breaking the Siege while adopting the slogan: ‘No retreat from right to return.’

In this context, the Politburo honoured all those murdered during the violent Zionist crackdown on the Great March of Return and wished the wounded a fast and full recovery.

The Political Bureau also confirmed the continuation of these marches until the achievement of its objectives, foremost of which is the lifting of the siege on the Gaza Strip.

The Political Bureau expressed its appreciation to the positive stances expressed by the countries of the world that affirmed their solidarity with the Palestinian people and their rejection of American and Israeli policies. This came through the meetings of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul, the Arab foreign ministers of the Arab League, the meetings of the Security Council, the General Assembly of the United Nations, including the formation of the UN Commission of Inquiry as mandated by the UN Human Rights Council.

The Political Bureau directed its legal and human rights institutions to follow up with these decisions to hold the Israeli Occupation leaders accountable for their war crimes against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Four: Lifting the unjust siege on Gaza:

The Political Bureau welcomed all efforts exerted to alleviate the suffering of our besieged people in the Gaza Strip. It welcomes all serious initiatives with open arms and appreciates the efforts made by more than one party in this regard.

In this context, the Political Bureau deplores the PA's attempt to disrupt these efforts under a false illusion; that the easing of the humanitarian situation in Gaza is part of the "Deal of the Century"! This siege, in which the PA is explicitly contributing to by imposing sanctions, cutting salaries and obstructing regional and international efforts to alleviate the suffering, is splitting the Gaza Strip and the West Bank further apart, whether the PA, in placing these obstacles, is doing so intentionally or unintentionally to help pave the way for "Trump's Deal".

Five: Normalization with the Zionist entity:

The Political Bureau strongly condemns any official or unofficial Arab or local attempts to normalize relations with the Zionist entity. At the same time, the Politburo highly values all Arab, Islamic and international models that boycott the Occupation and oppose normalization with it as a criminal racist entity.

Six: Reconciliation and National Unity:

The Political Bureau renewed its desire to achieve reconciliation and national unity on the basis of resistance and joint decision making. The Political Bureau also stresses that the national reconciliation can be achieved once:

1- The unjust sanctions imposed on the Gaza Strip are removed immediately.
2- Rebuilding the PLO through a new national unity council based on the 2017 Beirut agreement.
3- The full, comprehensive and honest implementation of the Cairo Agreement in 2011.

Seven: Egyptian invitation to Hamas to visit Cairo:

The Political Bureau decided to accept Egypt's invitation to visit Cairo and to discuss with the Egyptian officials the latest developments ongoing in Palestinian and Arab affairs and the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Eight: Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA)

The aid and assistance of Palestinian refugees displaced from their homes in 1948 is a legitimate right by humanitarian values and standards until they return to their homes. The movement therefore rejects any manipulation of UNRWA allocations, and holds the Zionist entity and the United States responsible for the current crisis that has resulted in a humanitarian disaster, unrest and instability in the region.

The movement also holds the international community responsible for its negligence in solving this problem and the financial crises experienced by UNRWA. However the UNRWA can not be exempted from its full responsibilities, for it needs to exert further effort to solve these financial problems and the reduction of its services and to not stand helplessly in the face of the current schemes aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause.
