More efforts should be made for Palestine, Gaza: Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions

Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions (Hak-İş) Chairman Mahmut Arslan attended the 11th Press Iftar Meeting, which they made a tradition.
 
Reacting to Israel by reminding what happened in Gaza, Arslan stated that there is a Palestinian struggle in the history of Hak-İş.
 
Arslan reminded that Hak-İş was among the organizers of the historical Jerusalem Rally held in Konya in 1980.
 
Adding that they are carrying out aid campaigns for Gaza through the Turkish Red Crescent, Arslan announced that they sent an emergency aid of 5 million TL in the first stage and made a donation for the distribution of 1,500 food packages during Ramadan.
 
Arslan added that more could be done about what happened in Gaza and stated that the government and non-governmental organizations should make more efforts to ensure a ceasefire.
 
Arslan stated that they will organize the May 1 celebrations in Kocaeli this year and that there will be participants from Palestine and Gaza in the program.
