As local elections approach, the candidates' work and promises attract attention.
Saadet Party Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral candidate Cafer Güneş underlined that the problems in Ankara are waiting for solutions.
Güneş stated that the water problem is expected to arise in Ankara in the near future and underlined that steps should be taken towards a solution.
“THE MAIN REASON OF THE WATER PROBLEM IS INSUFFICIENT WATER RESOURCES”
Underline that there is a reality such as water problem in Ankara, Güneş said that this problem will come to the agenda in the near future.
"According to Ankara's potable water projection, it seems that water resources will be insufficient for Ankara in the 2030s. The main reason for this is the increase in population and the insufficient water resources of Ankara," Güneş said.
“WE MAY BE AMONG THE PROVINCES EXPERIENCED WATER PROBLEMS NEARLY”
Drawing attention to the steps taken against the water problem in the near future, Güneş emphasized that the planning was inadequate.
"The biggest project in the near future is to bring water to Bolu and Gerede, but since this work was carried out without a water master plan, it cannot support advanced levels. It is necessary to make new steps integrated into this system and increase the capacity. If we do not use water economically, we will soon be among the provinces that face water problems," Güneş added.
