Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Chairman Sabri Tekir made evaluations about the Taliban's takeover of power in Afghanistan and stated that Turkey should stand by Afghanistan and called for the government to abandon actions that are in the interest of America.

"We faced a serious crisis in Afghanistan as a result of the government's determination of foreign policy with hamasi speeches and prioritizing the interests of the USA rather than regional balances," Tekir said.

Stating that Turkey has been struggling with natural disasters since the beginning of 2021, Tekir stated that the fight against the global Covid-19 pandemic, forest fires and flood disasters continues.

"Look, our country is struggling with serious crises. So who is the biggest cause of these misfortunes? Essentially, negligence and negligent managers are responsible for the troubles we are in and have been through. Those who do not take precautionary measures against disasters such as fire extinguishing and floods. Those who recklessly paved the way for urbanization in stream beds," he added.

“EXPERT STAFF MUST BE CREATED AGAINST DISASTERS”

Tekir listed the solution proposals against disasters as Saadet Party.

"With the existing personnel laws, it is not possible to employ specialist personnel who will undertake the duties and responsibilities of building inspection and licensing in provincial and district municipalities outside the big cities. Necessary legal arrangements should be made and working in these municipalities should be made attractive with economic incentives so that the lack of expert personnel should be eliminated, 'Temporary Specialized Courts' should be established to identify and punish those responsible after each disaster, and 'engineering errors' are one of the important causes of loss of life and property caused by disasters. All individuals working in the construction sector such as engineers, technicians, foremen, masters and workers should be trained about disasters in order to minimize the The 'Chambers of Architects and Engineers' should be actively involved in the activities to be carried out in this regard, and the culture of living together with disasters should be established in the society. This will only be possible with the training of all segments of society on disasters. All public and private institutions and organizations should contribute to the education campaign to be carried out for this purpose, and the honor of martyrdom should be given to the personnel who lost their lives while fighting in disasters such as fire and flood," Tekir added.

“WHERE DO THE TAXES GO?”

Evaluating the IBAN sharing, which was started by the government as a solidarity movement after disasters and is on the agenda, Tekir noted that our citizens have the reflex of cooperation in difficult times, expressing that the government's IBAN sharing drew the reaction of the citizens, "Our people can't help but ask where the taxes I pay go. Our citizens already pay taxes for use in disaster days. Moreover, these taxes are already becoming more diverse and higher day by day. For God's sake, where does all this tax go, and on top of that, an IBAN number is thrown to collect money in disaster days?" he asked.

Reminding that Afghanistan is Turkey's brother country, Tekir noted that Turkey should increase its relations with Afghanistan and called for the necessary diplomatic initiatives to prevent harm to the Turkish military personnel in Afghanistan.

"From this point on, I would like to state that we are faced with a process that should be a lesson to all of us. Turkey urgently needs to review its US-oriented foreign policy strategy. It is very clear that in this geography, it is not possible to take US' word for it," he warned.
