The debate on a raise in July continues for millions of minimum wage earners, who were crushed by the economic crisis and inflation.
The ruling party, on the other hand, is working on formulas to make a second raise in the minimum wage in July.
The first formula of the government was about the Social Security Institution (SGK) premium.
In order not to burden the employer with the second increase in the minimum wage, the 750 Turkish Lira SGK premium paid by the employer will be covered by the state and this amount will be reflected in the salary of the minimum wage earner.
In this case, the minimum wage will increase from 4,253 lira to 5,000 lira.
ADDITIONAL RAISE ALSO CONSIDERED OVER INSURANCE PREMIUM
The second formula that the government is working on is to make an additional raise on the SSI premium.
It is planned to add an additional 10 percent increase over the SGK premium amount of 750 TL, which corresponds to approximately 17 percent of the current minimum wage.
In such a case, the new amount of the minimum wage will be between 5,900 TL and 6,100 TL.
