Despite the genocide and brutality in Gaza, Turkey's continued trade with terrorist Israel is causing great reaction throughout the country.

In this context, a slogan was held in Beyazıt Square: "Say Stop to Occupation and Trade from Istanbul to Gaza!" A protest was organized with the slogan.

In the program organized by the Saadet Party Istanbul Provincial Directorate, thousands of citizens came together for their Gaza and Palestinian Muslim brothers and broke their fast together after the action.

Addressing the participants at the action, Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu said, "Actually, there is nothing left to say. We no longer need words, we need action. We are currently witnessing a massacre that perhaps has not been seen in the world for a long time. At the beginning, hospitals, schools, mosques were bombed, ambulances were bombed. This atrocity was broadcast live to the whole world. However, countries that consider themselves developed and their allies, including Turkey, unfortunately, were left idle. They did not speak out, in fact they ignored it and continue to ignore it. Cruelty cannot be eternal, it will definitely come to an end. We don't know when or how."

“SHIPS ARE SENT TO ISRAEL EVERY DAY, UP TO THE BARBED WIRES”

Temel Karamollaoğlu drew attention to what happened in Gaza.

"Although it is not known exactly, more than 30 thousand people have lost their lives to date. More than 15,000 children and around 10,000 women were martyred in these bombardments. Those who are injured, those who are pregnant, those who are sick, they really have no humanity left in them. If they had asked me before if such an atrocity had occurred, what Turkey and the Western world would do, whether they would remain silent or whether they would be held accountable for it, I would have thought that they would remain silent in heedlessness. Being silent doesn't mean anything. Ships are loaded every day, from food to weapons. Ships are sent to Israel every day, right down to the barbed wires," Karamollaoğlu added.

“THOSE WHO CONSENT TO OPPRESSION MUST FACE THE SAME END”

Temel Karamollaoğlu, pointing to the future, said, "This oppression will end, oppression will not last forever. Then, they will definitely be held accountable for this, but it will not be enough to hold these oppressors accountable alone. Those who consent to that oppression must suffer the same fate. The government takes action, but our government goes a little further. What kind of action is it holding a rally? It knows how to gather hundreds of thousands of people and shout about cruel Israel, and it tries to reassure itself by agitating the nation in this way. Let's not forget that more than 2 million people face hunger in Gaza today. Yes, it is not as cold as our country, but hunger and a little bit of cold really make people miserable. I personally can't look at the faces of children, those innocent babies, anymore. They have stopped crying, they are not crying, they are looking blank."

“MASJID AL-AQSA IS THE TEST OF THE 2 BILLION ISLAMIC WORLD”

Saadet Party Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral candidate Birol Aydın said that times and places are blessings.

"Every blessing is also a test. Istanbul is a blessing for us, but also a test. Jerusalem, Masjid al-Aqsa is a great blessing but also a test. Ebrehe came to destroy the Kaaba with his elephants and army. The grandfather of the Prophet Muhammad went to Ebrehe and asked for his camels. Ebrehe said, 'I thought you were a smart, noble person. While I came to destroy the Kaaba, you came and asked me for your camels.' The Prophet's grandfather said to Ebrehe, 'I am the owner of the camels, the owner of the Kaaba protects the Kaaba.' Now, Masjid al-Aqsa has been under occupation for 57 years. There are 2 billion Muslims, but Almighty Allah can save the holy Masjid al-Aqsa just as he protects the Kaaba. Jerusalem and Masjid al-Aqsa are a test for the Islamic world of 2 billion people, it is a heavy test," Aydın said.
