Saadet Party Konya Deputy Karaduman made important statements regarding the agenda in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA):
Karaduman talked about the electricity bills that come with exorbitant hikes, especially in the economy, and Greece's inhumane practices against refugees.
“THE ONE PIECE CUCUMBER IS 5 TL”
Pointing out that the country's number one agenda is the economy and price hikes, Karaduman underlined that the economy is constantly deteriorating, "The citizens can neither pay their bills nor buy anything for their home with the income they earn. Unfortunately, citizens can no longer go to the bazaar, cannot enter the market. We witness that fruits and vegetables are now sold with piece, news comes that the stores have started to sell second-hand clothes. The piece of the cucumber was 5 Turkish Liras (TL), the piece of the eggplant was 6 TL. Last year, today; while the liter of gasoline was 7,21 TL and the liter of diesel was 6,63 TL, today the liter price of gasoline and diesel is based on 16 TL. In particular, measures must be taken against the negative effects of the hike in diesel prices in the new production season. How will the farmer produce when the liter of diesel is 16 TL and the ton of urea fertilizer is 15,000 TL? These question must be answered," he said.
“VICTIMIZED CITIZENS!”
Saying that the government's inability to rule the country makes the citizens pay the price, Karaduman underlined that the price hikes triggered inflation and drew attention to the fact that citizens are the victims. “Even though our country is tried to be governed by the trial and error method, with the logic of 'what if', it is no longer possible for this order to continue. The current situation did not occur with the enactment of only one or two laws. The current situation has not emerged only as a result of some mistakes made in the last three or four years. This is the result of the wrong buttoning of the button of the shirt that was buttoned 20 years ago, and we all experience these processes together. Therefore, limiting these events to the last three or four years will cause these problems to be limited to being in the position of three monkeys, it doesn't mean anything else. These hikes come as a result of the country being in a spiral of debt, interest and more debt, more interest,” Karaduman added.
“GREECE MUST ACCOUNT FOR REFUGEES!”
Reacting very harshly to Greece's sinking of refugee boats, Karaduman stated that Greece resorted to inhumane practices against refugees and asylum seekers and said: "Hundreds of people drowned in the seas, children, mothers and fathers disappeared in the waters. Now, twelve of the refugees, who were stripped of their clothes and pushed back by Greece at the border gate, froze to death. The whole world and the human family are watching this atrocity in silence. This scream grows silently. In fact, what freezes is the global silence of the hegemonic mind, which dulls our perceptions with all its sophistication. In fact, it is the rottenness of the European culture that is frozen, whose perception is knotted, blinded to the truth. To announce these inhuman practices to the whole world and as soon as possible, it is our duty of humanity and our duty to ensure that they come to an end. Greece must account for this. Turkey should not remain silent about this atrocity. International law and courts should prosecute Greece.”
