The meeting on peace and stability in Afghanistan, which was organized by the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Saudi Arabia with the participation of 105 scholars from many countries in Jeddah and Mecca, concluded with the publication of the Mecca Declaration.
 
OIC Secretary General Yusuf bin Ahmed al-Useymin stated in the closing speech that the OIC supported the decisions taken by the scholars attending the international meeting and condemned the conflicts in Afghanistan. Useymin called on all parties to take advantage of the offer of unlimited peace.
 
At a meeting of international scholars organized by the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Saudi Arabia, the Afghan government and the Taliban were invited to declare a ceasefire and start the negotiation process.
 
The meeting on "Peace and stability in Afghanistan", which took place with the participation of 105 scholars from many countries in the cities of Jeddah and Mecca, ended with the publication of the Declaration of Mecca, according to the official agency of Saudi Arabia.

Dialogue and negotiation call for solution
 
The following declarations were used in the Mecca Declaration, in which the Afghan government and the Taliban declared a ceasefire and called for direct negotiations in order to bring stability and peace to the country in which long struggles had taken place:
 
The events that led to the killing of innocent civilians in Afghanistan contradict the values ​​of maintaining the unity and solidarity of the Muslim community as well as the incompatible principles of Islam.
 
The following statements were used in the Mecca Declaration, in which the Afghan government and the Taliban declared a ceasefire and called for direct negotiations to bring stability and peace to the country in which long struggles were experienced:
 
"The events that led to the killing of innocent civilians in Afghanistan are inconsistent with the unchanging principles of Islam and contradict the values ​​of maintaining the unity and solidarity of the Muslim community."
 
It was noted that the best way to end the strife between the government and the Taliban was through the launch of the national dialogue process and peace negotiations, with the declaration that states and international organizations were invited to contribute to peace and security in Afghanistan by using their influence and possibilities.
 
More than 100 scholars from various countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Egypt, Sudan and Morocco attended the international meeting on "Peace and Stability in Afghanistan", which lasted two days in Saudi Arabia.
