Thousands of university candidates have been waiting for the university with additional placement results announced. The Higher Education Council (YÖK) shared the numerical data with the public on the results announced by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center. According to the eld 2018 Higher Education Institutions Exam Additional Placement Final Report ild which was shared by YÖK, it was recorded that the occupancy rate increased from 76.5 percent in 2017 to 84.7 percent in 2018. In 2018, there was an increase of 27.4 percent in the additional occupancy rate.
In this report, as well as occupancy rates, vacant quota figures were also announced. According to data from last year, a large decrease in the number of vacant quota figures, but this year the number of vacant quota more than one hundred thousand. In 2017, 51 thousand 400 people were settled in 373 thousand quota while the number of vacant places was 322 thousand 014. This year, the announced 195 thousand 080 empty quota of 80 thousand 025, while 114 thousand 655 quota was empty. With the additional placement made to higher education institutions in 2018, a total of 80,425 candidates, including 19,155 candidates, 61,270 candidates for associate degree programs, were placed in higher education institutions.
The report, shared by the Council of Higher Education, on the basis of the high number of vacancies on the basis of employment worries and the possibility of professional execution of the program was recorded. The registration process of the applicants who are eligible for registration after the additional placement will be conducted by the universities between 1-5 October 2018.
