The tariff applied by the driving courses is determined in January every year and this tariff is applied throughout the year.
While the average course price to get a Class B driver's license is currently 6,000 TL, President Hasan Guda said that this fee may increase and exceed 10,000 TL by 2023.
Hasan Guda stated that according to the current figures, the cost of the course for the B class driver's license will be at least 10,000 TL.
"There is a great interest in driving schools. Driving schools announce new price schedules on 1 January each year. The determined price is also applied throughout that year. It is a system that the General Directorate of Private Education Institutions applies to us every year. Driving schools do not have a chance to raise arbitrarily. Our unit price for Samsun has been planned as 6 thousand liras for class B driver's licenses. Since the almost doubling of the minimum wages at the beginning of the year also affects Social Security Institution (SGK) premiums, even this price does not save the fuel hikes at the moment. Candidates registered for December will be subject to the 2023 Fees Law. The re-evaluation rate in the Fees Law was determined as 122 percent. But the final decision will be made by the parliament and the Presidency. Whatever the fees are there, we have to apply it. So it has nothing to do with us. If we add 122 percent fee to the tariff, which is 6 thousand TL for class B driver's license, the total fee will exceed 10 thousand TL in the new year," he said.
“THOSE WHO REGISTERED IN DECEMBER WILL PAY THE NEW FEE OF JANUARY 2023”
Guda stated that despite the current density, those who registered in December 2022 will also register at the new tuition fee in 2023.
"Our citizens think that they will be exempt from fees when they register in December, but since someone who is a member in December will take the exam in January 2023, they will register with the new fee. The advantage of registering in December is that they can register for the course from the 2022 tariff. At least they make a profit on the course price. Our basic expenses are clear. Fuel is the detail that brings the most financial burden. The minimum wage increase rate will also negatively affect our expenses," Guda added.
