Karaduman pointed out that it is not possible for a country that neglects its young people and ignores the problems experienced by the young people to establish a healthy future, “1 out of every 3 young people in this country is unemployed, who cares? 8 out of every 10 young people are in debt! Felicity (Saadet) Party Konya Deputy and Head of Youth Branches Abdulkadir Karaduman attended his party's Konya Provincial Youth Branches Council Meeting. Speaking at the meeting held at the party's provincial building, Karaduman emphasized that Turkey has been going through a difficult process and that youth work gains more importance than ever to solve the problems.

MANY SOCIETY SECTIONS HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO LOSS OF INCOME!

Karaduman pointed out that many segments of society in Turkey experienced loss of income during the pandemic process and emphasized that it is urgent to solve the employment problem of unemployed young people.

Underlining that a country that neglects its young people and ignores the problems experienced by young people is not possible to establish a healthy future, Karaduman said, "While the rate of students who continue their education without any problems in distance education is 5 percent, some of the remaining students have internet problems, while others lack necessary equipment such as computers and tablets and try to be included in the distance education process. In this country, 1 out of every 3 young people is unemployed, who cares? 8 out of every 10 young people are indebted, 300 thousand Credit and Hostels Institution (KYK) debtors are under legal proceedings, who cares? In this environment where financial difficulties, incompetence and diplomas have turned into unemployment certificates, millions of students are thinking of leaving school and working in any job, who cares? Young people dream of living in other countries, do you care?" he asked.

"YOUNG UNEMPLOYMENT BECOMES 30 PERCENT"

Karaduman pointed out that unemployment is a factor that increases the rate of involvement in crime and said: “Unemployment is the most basic problem that causes hopelessness and unhappiness. Most of our unemployed citizens have given up hope of finding a job. Our unemployed citizens intensively follow job postings, exams and courses in the private sector and public sector with the hope of finding a job. However, youth employment is a serious problem in our country. The youth unemployment rate is almost 30 percent. Young people, who are preparing for exams by spending a long time of serious efforts, worry about not being appointed even though they deserve it. We are faced with not only future concerns, but also very important problems and harsh realities that need to be solved today.”
