Hundreds of buried guns have been found in the Üsküdar district of the northwestern Turkish province of Istanbul, during an excavation which was conducted over a tip-off.
The excavation took place at 4. Murat Street in Burhaniye neighborhood of Üsküdar late on Tuesday. As many as 250 guns were found in the search.
Istanbul Police Chief Mustafa Çalışkan visited and examined the scene.
No other details were shared by the security sources about the incident.
An investigation was opened over the incident.
