27 Daesh terrorists killed in Syria

Turkish Land and Air Forces hit 140 Daesh targets.

At least 27 Daesh terrorists were killed in northern Syria in the last 24 hours by Turkish forces and the U.S.-led coalition, according to a Turkish General Staff statement Monday.
 
The statement said that 122 Daesh targets including shelters, defense positions, command and control facilities, vehicles and weapons had been hit by Turkish Land Forces as part of the ongoing Operation Euphrates Shield.
 
In addition, Turkish fighter jets destroyed 18 Daesh targets including 14 buildings used as quarters, two buildings used as headquarters, arsenal and one vehicle loaded with ammunition, according to the statement.
 
Out of the 27 terrorists, one was was killed in airstrikes carried out by the U.S.-led coalition, the army statement added. The raids also destroyed one vehicle belonging to the terrorist group.
 
The Turkish-led Operation Euphrates Shield began on Aug. 24, 2016 to improve security, support coalition forces, and eliminate the terror threat along the Turkish border using Free Syrian Army fighters backed by Turkish artillery and jets.
