Two Americans were killed in an attack on a military base in the Afghan capital Kabul Wednesday, the defense ministry said.
According to the ministry's spokesman Dawlat Waziri, the unknown assailant fired on international troops while they were leaving the base and was later killed himself.
NATO issued a statement Wednesday confirming that a U.S. soldier and a citizen were killed while two other US soldiers and another citizen were also injured.
