Turkish police have neutralized two PKK terrorists in a clash in southeastern Turkey’s Siirt province, the security sources said early Wednesday.
Two women terrorists were preparing to carry out an attack on local law enforcement units when the police raided their home in downtown Siirt, the sources said.
The ensuing clash left both of them dead and officers seized a long barreled weapon, two pistols, 12 grenades and anti-tank and anti-personnel rocket ammunitions during the operation.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its armed campaign in July 2015 and since then has been responsible for the deaths of around 1,100 security personnel and civilians, including women and children.
