While no serious steps are taken during the elapsed time, ‘Eğitim-Bir-Sen’ Educators Syndicate Union took over the aforementioned process. Deputy Chairman of the Union Latif Selvi and Elazığ Provincial Representative İbrahim Bahşi brought the issue to the deputy ministers.
MEETING WITH THE DEPUTY MINISTER
It has been 2 years since the Elazig earthquake, and the wounds still could not be healed. The fact that the Elazig Teacher's House, which became unusable after the earthquake, is still not operational, caused reactions. Despite the fact that there has been no serious maintenance-repair despite the time that has passed, ‘Eğitim-Bir-Sen’ Secretary General Latif Selvi and Elazığ Provincial Representative İbrahim Bahşi met with Ahmet Emre Bilgili, Deputy Minister of National Education.
BAHŞİ: “STILL NOT SOLVED”
Making a statement regarding the visit, ‘Eğitim-Bir-Sen’ Elazığ Branch No. 1 Chairman İbrahim Bahşi said, “The problem with the teacher's house, which was damaged in the Elazığ earthquake and became unusable, did not resolved despite all this time.”
“A TEACHER'S HOUSE CAN’T BE THOUGHT MUCH”
In the continuation of his statement,“In addition to the fact that our province and our community have a teacher's house that will serve the purpose, there is also the service building, which has a transportation problem due to its location, where the personnel of the provincial national education directorate, which has changed buildings four times in the last 20 years and lived a virtually nomadic life, work under very difficult conditions. We conveyed our request that it can be built in a suitable place as soon as possible to Deputy Minister Ahmet Emre Bilgili, and requested that steps be taken to reach a conclusion in our struggle, which started before the earthquake and intensified after the earthquake. We expect the Ministry of National Education (MEB) to see this problem of our city and especially educators’, and to show a will for a solution. Our education staff, to whom we entrust our children, who are our future, and who work day and night for our future, and the people living in this city, deserve a new teacher's house. We call out to the authorities once again: Let our voices be heard, A teacher's house should not be seen too much for the old city of Al-Aziz!” Bahşi added.
