Three PKK terrorists were killed Monday in an operation in Turkey's southeastern Siirt province, according to a security source.
The source, who spoke anonymously due to restrictions on talking to media, said the three terrorists, including two women, were detected by a drone in Gunesli village of Merkez district.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
Since then, PKK terrorists have martyred more than 700 members of security forces and claimed lives of numerous civilians including women and children while around 8,000 PKK terrorists have been killed or apprehended in army operations.
