Citizens who are sentenced to a loans cannot buy houses but foreigners, who take advantage of the depreciation of the Turkish lira, are racing to buy properties in Turkey.
Sales to foreigners, on the other hand, continue to increase in line with the depreciation of TL. The number of foreign ownership in Turkey has exceeded 400,000, reaching the average population of an Anatolian city. While the number of foreign ownership was 352,000 last year, it increased by 48,000 in the last year to 400,000.

Mustafa Hakan Özelmacıklı, General Manager of Altın Emlak, stated that the total number of foreign ownership in Turkey has exceeded 400,000, "While Istanbul ranked first with 95,000 people in the list of the top ten cities most preferred by foreigners, Antalya took the second place with 78,000 people. After these provinces, Muğla with 19,000 people, Aydın with 17,000 people, Bursa with 15,000 people, Ankara with 12,000 people, Yalova with 10,000 people, Mersin with 7,000 people, and with 6,000 people. Izmir and Sakarya followed with 5,000 people," he said.
The total number of foreign ownership in Turkey has exceeded 400,000. Making evaluations on the subject, Altın Emlak General Manager Mustafa Hakan Özelmacıklı said, "Compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of foreign ownership increased from 352,000 to 400,000. In the last year, approximately 48,811 foreigners have acquired property," he said.

Özelmacıklı also gave information about the ranking of the top ten countries most preferred by citizens to buy real estate in Turkey.
"Iraq took the first place with 35,000 people. England with 28,000 people, Iran with 23,000 people, Russia with 22,000 people, Germany with 18,000 people, Kuwait with 13,000 people, Saudi Arabia with 11,000 people, Afghanistan with 11,000 people, Greece with 9,000 people and Norway with 8,000 people took part. Stating that Iran ranks first with 3 thousand 724 in the list of the top ten countries whose citizens prefer to be Turkish citizens, Özelmacıklı said, “Afghanistan with 2 thousand 388, Iraq with 2 thousand 110, Yemen with 1 thousand 619, China with thousand 425, Palestine with 956, Japan with 729, Libya with 652, Egypt with 574 and Pakistan with 443," he added.
