51 percent of consumers live in rent… 67 percent of them hardly pay their rent!

Tenants suffer the most in the construction sector, which is one of the sectors where the economic crisis is felt the most.
 
According to the report of the Consumer Union Federation called "We Can't Get Along", 67 percent of the tenants stated that they did not have enough income to pay their rent, while 65 percent of the tenants stated that they had problems due to the rent increase rate.

The Consumer Union Federation has published a report titled "We Can't Get Along".
 
Within the scope of the report, 433 consumers from 46 different settlements were interviewed.
 
According to the report, 51 percent of the consumers stated that they were renting, while 67 percent of the renters stated that they did not have enough income to pay their rent.
 
The Federation stated that 65 percent of the tenants had problems due to the rate of rent increase in the last one-year period.
 
“If you had the choice, would you live in your residence?” 57.5 percent of the tenants answered “no” to the question.
 

67 PERCENT OF TENANTS DIFFICULTLY PAY THE LEASE

40 percent of the tenants who had problems stated that the lessor wanted to increase the rent by 75 percent to 100 percent, and 58 percent of those who had this problem stated that the landlords made the increase they wanted.
 

73 PERCENT OF THE TENANTS CANNOT BENEFIT FROM “25 PERCENT”

 
According to the published report, 73 percent of the tenants could not benefit from the 25 percent limit imposed on the rent increase rate. 72 percent of tenants stated that the increase in rental prices was higher than the increase in their income in the last year.
 
According to the report, 37 percent of the tenants stated that they allocate 25-50 percent of their monthly household income to rent, while 23 percent noted that they pay their monthly rent with 50 percent to 75 percent of their income.
 
7 percent shared that the rental fee corresponds to 75 percent to 100 percent of their income. “If you had the choice, would you live in your residence?” To the question, 57.5 percent of the tenants answered “no”.
