Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Sabri Tekir and Gelecek Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu made speeches at the first group meeting held after the death of Saadet Party Deputy Chairman and Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez.
Reminding Bitmez's last speech, Tekir said, "We are holding the last group meeting of 2023 with the bitterness of the loss of our martyrs and our brother Hasan Bitmez. Our brother Hasan left us as a brother who left his mark and seal on the history of the Turkish Grand National Assembly."
“WE ARE READY TO DO WHATEVER IS OUR BEST AS A GROUP”
Stating that no one should pursue political calculations in the fight against terrorism, Tekir underlined that terrorism should be permanently removed from the country's agenda.
"Our common responsibility; It is to relieve the tears of mothers, wives and children! It is to quiet the cries rising from unplastered and unpainted houses. We call on everyone, both the government and the opposition. We do not want to sacrifice even one more of our people to terrorism! As a group, we are ready to do whatever we can to eradicate terrorism and ensure peace, security and peace prevail in this blessed land," Tekir added.

Tekir pointed out that there was a gap that could not be filled with the death of Saadet Party Deputy Chairman and Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez, and noted that the first group meeting was held without Bitmez.
"We are sad but proud! Because such a death is not possible for everyone! Our brother Hasan Bitmez never broke his line. He supported our cause from his early youth and never compromised on his direction and determined stance throughout his life. He spent his last breath for this cause! Hasan Bitmez's last speech is a short 20-minute summary of the issues we have been expressing for 20 years," Tekir said.
“EVERYONE WHO IS SILENT TODAY IS PARTICIPANT IN THIS OPPRESSION”
Pointing out that what happened in Gaza is not just about Gaza, Tekir stated that what has happened since October 7 tells a lot.
"They even murder children, pregnant women, disabled and elderly people. They even bomb ambulances, hospitals, schools and places of worship. Such a thing is rare in world history! But the world is watching, Europe is watching, and unfortunately the Islamic countries are silent! Oppressors gain strength from this silence. Because; Everyone who remains silent today is a party to this oppression!" Tekir added.
“UNFORTUNATELY, SHIPS CONTINUE TO COME AND GO”
Reminding that trade with Israel continues, Tekir underlined that those who continue trade with Israel are accomplices of the oppressor.
"Those who send even a single piece of garbage to Israel should know that; The sorrow of the oppressed Palestinians will make them miserable! This is what Hasan Bey shouted! But unfortunately the ships continue to come and go! They thought that if Hasan Bitmez remained silent, there would be no problem! Here Hasan Bitmez passed away and remained silent while shouting the truth! But they should know that even if everyone remains silent, we will not remain silent," Tekir said.
“THOSE WHO WANT TO MAKE MEANING OF ZIGZAGS SHOULD LOOK AT THE ACCEPTED BUDGET”
Referring to the 2024 budget, which was discussed and accepted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Tekir stated that this budget prepared by the government shows the reason for its weakness in the face of Israel.
"Our citizens, who vote for the AK Party in every election with the hope that they will improve, cannot understand what is happening; I know. Those who want to make sense of these zigzags in foreign policy should look at the budget they passed by the Parliament without touching the comma! Call it desperation or incompetence; In order to understand our country's current attitude, it is necessary to analyze the dire situation in the economy well," Tekir stated.
“THE 5 ARTICLES OF THE HAIM NAHUM DOCTRINE ARE THE SUMMARY OF THIS BUDGET”
Pointing out that the accepted budget includes interest and debt, Tekir underlined that investment and employment are not included in the budget.
"In this budget, there is a lot of interest, debt, taxes, favors for supporters, inflation, unemployment, and a current account deficit! This budget is nothing but pulling our country and our people further into the debt-interest-debt vortex! Our Erbakan Hodja had warned us for years; Chaim explained the Nahum Doctrine item by item. Article 5 of those 7 articles, looking at the budget, is the summary of this budget: You will leave people hungry, you will leave people unemployed, you will make people slave to debt, you will drive people away from his religion; You will turn people into a soft bite and swallow it! This budget; It means leaving our people hungry and unemployed! This budget; It means enslaving our state and nation to debt. This budget; It is a budget as far away from our moral and spiritual values as possible! This budget; It means turning our country into a soft morsel! CRITICISM OF THE JOINT STATEMENT FROM DAVUTOĞLU
Future (Gelecek) Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu spoke about the declaration signed after the death of 12 soldiers and criticized those who did not sign it.
"While our 12 martyrs were being buried, our common consciousness of fate, our common pain consciousness, and our common democratic consciousness were hit at the same time. One would wish that it could be said, with the text signed by not 5 but 6 parties, 'The children of this country are brothers, all those who fell to the ground for the unity of this country, our beloved martyrs are sacred, we will support their cause.' The failure to even reach a common declaration has deeply injured our nation," Davutoglu said.
