THE NUMBER OF WORKERS HAS INCREASED
While the number of workers, which was 16 million 163 thousand 549 in January, exceeded 16 million 413 thousand in July, the unionization rate, which was 14.42 percent, was recorded as 14.76 percent in July.
The number of unionized workers, which was 2 million 330 thousand 988 in January, reached 2 million 421 thousand 940. The increase in the number of unionized workers was recorded as 0,34 percent.
THE UNION WITH THE MOST MEMBERS, "HİZMET-İŞ"
Representing 29.79 percent of the 927 thousand 880 laborers working in the general works sector, "Hizmet-İş" Union affiliated to the "Hak-İş" Confederation became the union with the highest number of members, surpassing the "Türk Metal" Union with 276 thousand 360 members.
Turkish Metal Union ranked second with 268 thousand 385 members.
