Organized by the Swiss Islamic Society Youth Organization, the "12th Golden Crescent Film Festival" was held at Stadthalle Dietikon in the canton of Zürich, Switzerland.
At the opening, where the exhibition of Mustafa Aqqad, the director of the movie The Message (Çağrı), was held, the play "We Are Making Game'n" prepared by the theater unit of the Swiss Islamic Community Education Center and directed by Ahmet Türkel and Ayşe Kasapoğlu was also staged.
Speaking at the opening, President of the Swiss Islamic Society Abdullah Kasapoğlu stated that people are guided by cinema and the media, and stated that people who are crazy about consumption, who are passionate about speed and pleasure, divorces, addictions and suicides are the result of this.
Saying that he has dreams, big goals and ideals, Kasapoğlu said, "We believed and we set out. In order to fulfill this responsibility and to further increase the quality of our festival, we are ready to strive with love and determination in the future. Effort is from us, faithfulness is from Allah."
Noting that Turkish TV series such as "Diriliş" and "Kuruluş" have been watched with interest in many countries recently, Kasapoğlu said, "I think that the interest in films in which stories such as family, sacrifice, help the poor, respect for the elderly, loyalty to the spouse, compassion for the oppressed, punishment to the traitor, and praise to the hero are kept alive will increase. Because God, who created man, created man inclined towards values."
