Saadet Party Women's Branch Head Nurgül Beytiye Ekinci made statements regarding the Domestic Goods Week in a press release.

Drawing attention to the importance of countries becoming self-sufficient, Ekinci reminded that the AK Party government both disposed of domestic factories and caused serious damage to agriculture and animal husbandry.

“COUNTRIES WITHOUT PRODUCTION BECOME FOREIGN DEPENDENT”

Mentioning the importance of Domestic Goods Week, Saadet Party Women's Branch Head Nurgül Beytiye Ekinci stated that domestic production was supported with the Domestic Goods Week.

"Production is an activity related to consumption and consumption is an activity related to production. Because without production, there is no income, and without income, there is no consumption. Production is indispensable for a state. Countries without production become foreign-dependent, open markets of developed countries, giving all their income to foreign countries, and naturally turned into consumer societies with low welfare levels," she said.

“ERBAKAN ALWAYS ATTENDED DOMESTIC PRODUCTION”

Pointing out that the late Milli Görüş Necmettin Erbakan always attached importance to domestic production, Ekinci reminded that Erbakan Hodja took many steps in the past.

"Our late teacher Necmettin Erbakan has always supported domestic production and thus wanted to show what Turkey can do. For this, he established the Gümüş Motor factory with his entrepreneurial friends, and many factories during the government period, and also tried to implement the heavy industry move that Turkey needed," she added.

MANY FACTORIES HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED

Reminding that Milli Görüş movement laid the foundations of many factories, Ekinci pointed out that the foundations of nearly 300 factories were laid during the period when the government came to power, and 70 of them were completed.

The AK Party government has sold state institutions by adopting the understanding of State Finance Minister Kemal Unakıtan, 'We sell both profit-makers and loss-makers like fathers.' Many of the factories and institutions that were sold to foreigners or foreign partners were closed.

"THAT'S CANNOT BE ACCEPTABLE"

Expressing that they have been following the unethical events for a week with regret, Ekinci stated that what happened cannot be accepted.

"First of all, I would like to start by stating that we have never accepted the abominable event that does not fit our faith, morals, fairness and conscience. I would like to state that in our belief, a woman or man cannot be married without their consent and cannot be forced into sexual intercourse. Legally, the age of marriage is certain in our country and this age is the maximum age to get married and it is not possible to act outside of it," Ekinci said.

“AGRICULTURE HAS BECOME AS IMPORTANT AS INDUSTRIALIZATION AND TECHNOLOGY”

Stating that agriculture is the first area that comes to mind when it comes to Domestic Goods Week, Ekinci underlined that agricultural production has also fallen behind.

"Agriculture is one of the most strategic and important economic factors of a country. Today, in a time when we feel more and more deeply the consequences of the systemic crisis we live in, the importance of food security and agricultural production capacity is of vital importance, and even agriculture and food are a security issue. While the high level of agricultural production is a source of prosperity for a country, food security means healthy individuals and a happy society. Agriculture, which is the most obvious indicator of self-sufficiency today; It is clear that it has become as important as industrialization and technology," Ekinci stated.
