"An Islamic economic model possible"

Organized by Istanbul Economists Association (IKDER) and Istanbul University, the International Islamic and Economic Symposium opened its doors for the 11th time this year.

A symposium themed as "Sustainable, fair and collaborative Turkey's economy" held in Istanbul. Local and foreign academicians, bureaucrats and representatives of non-governmental organizations participated in the symposium.
 
Speaking at the opening of the symposium held at the Istanbul University Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Congress and Culture Center, IKDER President Mustafa Bolat, "the founder of the Islamic economy. Dr Sabahattin Zaim in memory of this activity said that they do, our aim in this study is to provide a fair and sharing sustainable and applicable alternative model and way out instead of repairing and patching the defective aspects of the economic system," he said.

Rector of Istanbul University Dr. Mahmut Ak stated that Islam's economic arrangements constitute the Islamic economy. The existing economic systems in the world are experiencing serious problems and are unable to sustain themselves. In this sense, it is very important to apply and discuss the Islamic economy."
