Hundreds of scholars and muftis came together at the Diyarbakir leg of the 16th "Brotherhood Bridge" program, organized in cooperation with the Union of Religious Officials (Din-Bir-Der), Madrasa Scholars Foundation (MEDAV) and Trabzon Federation of Quran Courses Associations.
In his opening speech, MEDAV President Tayyip Elçi, who hosted the program, "Our whole life must be nourished by Islam. According to him, we have to put forward a vision of life. We can find the answer to every question in the Qur'an and the Sunnah," he said.

Batman Provincial Mufti Nihat Kök said that the rise of the Ummah depends on scholars.
"If we stand up with knowledge and ideas, the ummah will stand up. The rise of us, that is, of Turkey, depends on works such as these bridges of brotherhood. The Ummah is waiting for us to stand up. It is obligatory for all of us to establish the law of brotherhood. I hope one day we will have our meeting in Jerusalem. God bless you all," he said.
