Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Chairman Şerafettin Kılıç held a press release and evaluated the issues on Turkey's agenda. In the press statement made with the participation of many media members in the Izmir Provincial Presidency of Saadet Party, Şerafettin Kılıç stated that Turkey is going through an economic depression and drew attention to the despair in which the youth are dragged. Serafettin Kılıç, who listed the solution proposals brought by Saadet Party to the problems of our country in the press release, drew attention to the importance of unity and solidarity.
"YOUTH DRAGGED INTO A PESSIMISM"
Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Şerafettin Kılıç stated that young people in Turkey are dragged into a pessimism.
"When we consider the pandemic conditions that have been added for 2 years on top of the already existing economic problems, it is possible to understand the degree of the depressive process experienced by the youth. See; I would like to remind you of an example to understand the situation young people are in right now. One of our brothers, who works as a courier at Getir, said the following sentences in a street interview that should make us all think; Our brother, who stated that he works 14 hours a day: I have no purpose in living. Did I come into life just to work? If I want to socialize, there is no money, if I want to make money, there is no social life.' Unfortunately, the situation of many of our young people consists of these words," he said.
“WE DEMAND THE PRICE OF HUMANLY LIVING”
Referring to the minimum wage discussions, Şerafettin Kılıç said, "Unfortunately, the problems in the economy occupy our agenda. Because in Turkey, the coming day looks like the last day. Every day a raise, every day a new bottleneck is tiring our nation. Under these circumstances, the issue of what the minimum wage will be is a question that we are all waiting for. The meaning of the word minimum according to Turkish Language Society (TDK) dictionary means minimum, lowest, lowest, minimum, minimal, lowest. However, this lowest limit is not a balm for the wounds of our nation. In a country where the hunger limit is 3,093,20 TL and the poverty line is 10,075.58 TL, the government has not determined the lower limit fairly for a long time. For this reason, as the Felicity Party, we demand a humane living wage, not the lowest limit, that is, the minimum. We want a wage rate to be determined where our nation is not sacrificed for inflation, which will protect its purchasing power, and at the same time, where the government will not be a burden to the employers by sacrificing taxes," he added.
“OUR NATION NEEDS TO BE EMBRACED”
"Economic depression, unemployment and political tensions result in the polarization of our nation. Here, I would like to mention a research conducted in 2020. According to this research; 74.9 percent of the people participating in the survey do not want their children to marry one of the supporters of another party. 72 percent do not want to do business with one of the supporters of that party. 66.6% of them do not want their children to be friends with the children of those party supporters. On the other hand, 60.8 percent do not want to be neighbors to the party they feel the most distant from, with someone who feels closest to them. These results are the bell of the danger we are in. It is an indication that the seeds of hatred planted in this land where our nation has lived for a thousand years with the law of brotherhood bear fruit," Kılıç stated.
"NOW IS THE TIME FOR UNITY"
"The most important step to be taken against this dire picture is to change the language of politics. It is to establish an understanding that political parties see each other as rivals, not enemies. A language should be used in which opponents are not accused of treason and terrorism. As a result of this, whether you say goodbye, hug or say something else, the brotherhood of our nation should be established. Now is the time for unity and togetherness. It's time to hug. It is time to greet and spread the greeting. Now is the time to smile, it is the time of brotherhood," he said.
