In the past days, the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) has come to the fore with the leak of questions.
While the exam was canceled after the doubt, the President of Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) was also changed. With the cancellation of the exam, the reactions regarding the exam continue to come from institutions operating in the field of education.
Commenting on the KPSS, which has come to the fore with its doubters, Hamdi Sürücü, Chairman of the Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞ-DER), drew attention to the fact that canceling the exam is a right step.
He underlined that if it is not cancelled, the view of the candidates to each other may change and the sense of justice will be damaged depending on the exam results.
Pointing out that the doubts that emerged as a result of the exam are regrettable, Sürücü stated that the events brought up the shortcomings in many respects.
"These developments are an indication that important achievements such as morality, spirituality, honesty and justice are neglected in addition to academic success in our schools. This was an example of the shortcomings associated with these important achievements," he said.
Underlining that what happened is one of the most important examples of the lack of morality and spirituality in education, "This event has shown that while raising our young people, it is necessary to teach moral and spiritual values as well as academic success, and to give them a sense of right and justice. Events show that the education system and course curricula should be rearranged and made compatible with our beliefs, morals and culture," Sürücü added.
