Şentop said, "If there are some problems with the Presidential Government System over time, changes will be made in the Constitution and in the laws."

Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Şentop made a statement to the journalists serving in the Assembly at the Assessment Meeting of the Activities of the 27th Term of the 2nd and 3rd Legislative Year of the TBMM. Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop said the following about the coronavirus cases in the Turkish Grand National Assembly: "There are 5 deputies who were followed at home due to coronavirus and 4 deputies at the hospital. Coronavirus was detected in a total of 35 personnel. Together with the deputies, the total number of cases in the Parliament is 44."

“CHANGES IN THE CONSTITUTION AND LAW”

Şentop, regarding the debates about the Presidential Government System, said, "If there are some problems related to the Presidential Government System in time, changes are made in the Constitution and the laws. This is also quite natural. However, I believe that not all of the points put forward today as an objection are correct and correct."

EUROPE MAKES ITS OWN PARADIGM

Şentop, in his assessment regarding the Istanbul Convention and international conventions, stated that Europe has developed a concept of right for itself, but is trying to impose it on other countries.

Şentop said, “There is a Europe-centered understanding of rights. This includes also about women's rights. Some elements of this paradigm are universal. Some of its elements are the cultural elements of western Europe. But Europe is imposing this paradigm as a universal paradigm to the whole world. This is reflected in many international conventions and court orders. There are problems with perspectives. What is the problem. Even the ECHR, in the judicial decisions of many institutions, there is another standard outside of Europe. Europe has always had other standards for the orient. We see these approaches in their contracts. There is this perspective problem. Some of the issues that emerged as a reflection of European culture should be discussed both on human and women's rights.”
