Confederation of the Disabled held its 6th Ordinary General Assembly. Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services Rıdvan Duran, Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Prof. Dr. Sabri Tekir, Saadet Party Disabled Coordination Head İsrafil Bayrakçı, many political party representatives and NGO representatives attended the meeting.
"OUR CIVILIZATION DOESN'T DISCRIMINATE"
Prof. Dr. Sabri Tekir, Deputy Chairman of Saadet Party, who spoke in the program, stated that there is no room for discrimination in our civilization.
"We do not accept discrimination against anyone because of their disability. Our civilization does not distinguish anyone according to their differences. Our policies should also be corrected in line with this understanding, Tekir said.
“WE SHOULD ACTIVATE THE DISABLED, NOT ISOLATE”
Tekir stated that policies should be developed for our disabled citizens to be more effective in their economic and social life.
"Policies regarding the disabled should not be prepared with an understanding that will isolate disabled citizens from economic and social life. On the contrary, disabled citizens should be made more efficient and productive in their economic and social life," Tekir added.
