Felicity (Saadet) Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu criticized the economy.
"For God's sake, what are we talking about today?" Karamollaoğlu, who reacted to the price hikes in oil, milk and bread, "Does this scene suit Turkey?" he asked.
Karamollaoğlu stated the following in his statement:
"For God's sake, what are we talking about today? We talk about the price of oil reaching 150 liras, the fact that milk is 10-15 liras, a quarter of bread is 1 lira, and our people have to wait for hours in cheap bread queues; we have to talk! Does this scene suit Turkey? While the Bulgarians flocked to Edirne, the Iranians to Van, and the Georgians to Artvin, waiting in queues at the customs gates, they filled their carts and boxes; Our people waiting in the queues for hours at bread kiosks, gas stations and markets for cheaper products! Should this be the legacy left to Turkey in its 20th year by a government that left 19 years behind? A Turkey where the prices of even the most basic products such as oil, milk and bread are on the agenda, and its citizens shed tears in the bread queues; It is enough as a shame to a government!"
